This place is terrible and over priced. The ribs were tough and hard, the barbecue sauce taste like some store bought stuff. The macaroni and cheese was even worst; no flavor. This place claims to be the best barbecue spot in LA which is delusional! The best barbecue in LA is woodys and Phillips. They can fool people of whittier all day long with this lie because it’s the only barbecue place out there. But people who really understand soul food and barbecue know that this place ain’t it. Try again!
If feeling like eating some real BBQ I totally recomend this place.. food was supper good…ordered a 3 meats combo… the best authentic BBQ sauce… tender meats…it will be well worth your money… I cant believe I’ve been missing out on this place.. I will definitely come back…
Well we expected to get a little more food than what we got and no sauce on any of the 3 brisket sandwiches we ordered. I ordered the 2 meat combo with 2 sides (Ribs and Chicken) and got 2 legs and 2 ribs and only one side for $16.95 What a disappointment!! Chicken was OK but the ribs were below average. Do yourself a favor and pass on this place.
Ordered a pulled pork sandwich. Didnt look anything like the picture. Didnt even get coleslaw. For some reason got it in slider form. Dont know why, didnt ask for it like that. Ordered corn bread. Small and broken all up. Wont be going back.
this is the best bbq, I have had!!!.they are every friendly and helpful.I will be coming back for more and recommending them to my friends and family.
Our daughters wedding was rescheduled to 2021 due to Covid 19. It was a very difficult time for us ultimately my daughter was married at the court registry on July 3,2020. I called Woo Woos for the first time and spoke with Woo Woo. If Steve’s BBQ was open I would have ordered from Steve or Red Oak which recently closed. Woo woo seemed very nice and I shared that this was my first order and we ordered lots of BBQ for many events. I explained also that I usually order from Steve and Red Oak and that Red Oak had closed. He shared that he was waiting to see if his loan had gone through or he would also have to close. He was very personable so I decided to order. I placed an order for the large BBQ tray$155 which came with 2 sides I also order macaroni and cornbread for an additional $40 (for 8 people). We chatted some more and he asked me to bring cash because his card readers were down waiting for new machines, total $195 cash only!! the day of our event came I sent my husband to pick up our order $200 cash in hand. My husband returned and said he was charged $230 ,he said a young lady was ringing him up when Woo Woo came out and said he didn’t charge for Mac and bread they took the cash and then put the rest of the payment on my husband card(like a miracle the card reader worked). I immediately called Woo Woo on his phone
Wow. Stumbled across this excellent place and even met the owner. His story is inspiring. His bbq is out of this world.
The BBQ here is awesome. I had the Pulled pork sandwich, the meat was melt in your mouth tender. My wife and daughter shared the Brisket Fries. They could not finish the order. I did finish my sandwich and probably should have left some for later. I also tried the peach cobbler it was just like homemade. There is very little seating and no atmosphere. This place is just about great BBQ.
Wowo is a Legend in the bbq community and a beast on the grill. Serving passion and fire. The best deal is the 3 meat combo. The brisket is ridiculous. Incredible marbal, color and just enough fat for flavor.
First time at WoWos but it won’t be the last, brisket fries were awesome, fried chicken was good and pulled pork was great too, the service was super well worth the trip here!
