Total hidden gem. I got the Gobi Manchurian for an app and the garden quesadilla for dinner, was blown away at the quality and flavor.  Parking can be tight but this place is well worth the trip, great service here too!  Make a reservation and let them know Rick sent you.

There were five of us in our party and we ordered a bunch of different thing.  Every single thing was outstanding.  The flavors are really exceptional in all their dishes.  Hard to pick a favorite but maybe the artichoke heart appetizer.  Lentil soup was also exceptional. Portions are very generous.  I didn’t realize gratuity was built into the total and added on.  When I called the next day to ask about that, they had already removed what I added on top.  That is above and beyond service.  I wish I lived in the area so I could go there more often.  Will definitely try to visit next time I’m in Newton!

This place is amazing! So flavorful, fresh, and fairly priced. Really good variety of options, friendly about food allergies, and something to make any vegetarian/vegan happy! We ordered dinner for pickup here the day we moved to the area and we have been recommending it to everyone since.

Went on Sunday at noon and disappointed they weren’t offering the brunch menu, that’s the reason we picked the place. I truly don’t understand why it wasn’t being offered. Ended up ordering the BLT, Gobi, falafel wrap and a couple desserts. The BLT was quite yummy and the Gobi was alright. It wasn’t super crispy and the sauce wasn’t that flavorful. The carrot cake was delicious but the chocolate cake was clearly a couple days old and super dry. The juice was the highlight and it was very good!

If I knew the hours for brunch I would certainly come back to try it, but I was very very disappointed that we drove 40 minutes in hopes of brunch that wasn’t being offered.

i used to love this restaurant but last time i went, about 3 weeks ago, I had called them for a take out and when we picked up the food it was all wrong. I had asked them to leave off ingredients for an item I got and they didn’t. The food was greasy and not well seasoned. Food I used to gobble up , I couldn’t finish. This used to be one of my mother’s mainstay restaurants as she is a vegetarian. My family was back in town visiting my parents so we went again and it just wasn’t the same. Good I used to crave was underwhelming and the people who assembled the food in the containers coughed near the food which really upset my mom. They didn’t wear a mask which bothered her as she is high risk herself. 🙁 We ate the food anyways but the experience was disappointing at best which stinks because this place used to be amazing! please please bring back the old  chefs, put a mask back on for your customers need that security, and bring back the yumminess. Thank you for considering!

We went there on a REALLY hot day for lunch – not the “coolest” nor “fanciest” place to eat.

BUT, we “cooled off” and “spruced up” when the chef at “Walnut Grille” went into action.

A simple Table Salad you say, how can that be extraordinary?  Well, I’ll tell you. A super generous portion, The freshest mixed greens, shredded carrots, and a perfect homemade salad dressing that brought out all of the individual flavors of each ingredient

Grilled Asparagus you say, how can that be extraordinary?  Well, I’ll tell you.  Skinny – not too skinny where it doesn’t hold the flavor – but definitely not of the tough stringy circumference variety. An oil and light spicing that I’m still trying to decipher – AMAZING

A Vegetarian Quesadilla you say, how can that be extraordinary? Well, I’ll tell you.  THE BEST QUESADILLA EVER – and I’ve had more different types of quesadillas than the amount of dead people who’ve voted in Boston.  Tortilla was very light, but strong enough to hold all the ingredients. Combination of pre cooked vegetables and artisan cheese made one’s mouth explode – literally.

Big portions
Delicious food
Excellent pricing

A true 5 – Well Done

We’re coming back often

I love this place. They are consistently good and I’ve been going there for years. A little pricey but they are good people!

An excellent vegan and vegetarian choice with a large and creative menu. Good for small to medium groups.

This place is kinda underrated or pretty unheard of…

Gobi Manchurian- oo my godd! It was delicious! Perfectly crispy and perfectly soft! Taste was fab! It’s a must try if you go to this place. I just wish there was a bit more sauces in it, coz it seemed a kinda dry…didn’t affect the taste though! I loved it!

Quesadilla- full of veggies and cheese! Awesome! I would have liked it to be a bit more spicy, but otherwise it was really good- veggies well cooked and stuffed inside the tortilla!

They have some great cocktails too! Should try those!

This place is a must go if you’re a vegetarian!

Ordered the Cauliflower Gobi, “meat”balls and baked artichokes. Loved the chokes, balls were just ok, it was the sauce that became too sweet after a while. Cauliflower Gobi was very tasty and light even though fried. Definitely would venture back here and see what the chef would rec and let the food just come to the table!
