Urban Bowls

Fish was neither fresh tasting nor generous and the seaweed salad was flavorless. The only upside is that it was a few dollars cheaper than other Poke places but honestly wouldn’t come here again.

Cheapest delicious lunch I can find any where in SF Urban Shrimp with spicy mayo, ketchup, Spam Musubi is so delicious. Their salmon teriyaki is only 13.95 in a city where ramen costs $20. Friendly people. Seems to be a nice small scale business. Support them. Located right at the performance art center parking. A lot people who do hard work around the area get their meal and chips here.

I got a custom tuna bowl. Everything tasted fine except the fish did not taste fresh. When the food was being prepared there were children playing with toys where food is being served and I also found a hair in my food. I question their cleanliness and food service practices.

The food there was ok. The restaurant was a little dingy and the food matched it. We had a mixed chicken and beef teriyaki plate which was underwhelming. The beef had lots of gristle and the chicken tasted braised and under seasoned.  We also had a 2 California dreaming poke bowls and one Flaming Hot Poke bowl.  They were pretty good. They could have had more poke and more of a variety of toppings, but the seafood and seaweed salads were good.  There was also a generous scoop of avocado, which was a nice touch. We also had raspberry and strawberry smoothies.  They were the biggest hit, quite frankly. It was a quick bite before attending a show with the family.  So, it met our needs.

Love this local place but not sure where the owner is. The guy behind the counter doesn’t seem to know his job. Had to get a refund because he couldn’t handle the rush. Super rude, the guy made a huge scene yelling at me. Hopefully my refund is actually issued and I never have to go back.
