I saw a roach. That right there took me all the way out. We were sitting there eating, and I wasn’t impressed with that bland mess and then boom. A roach just crawls from the area they are cooking in. Nah I’m good.
Cozy atmosphere, good for a date. Spendy. Got vegan dumplings and spicy ramen, which were beautifully presented but not super distinctive flavorwise (a bit one dimensional and heavy on toasted sesame oil). Beautiful presentation and really great service.
The ramen is not the best, but decent. Very mediocre, but will suffice if no other ramen options are available.
I used to live right next door and frequent often. Sad to not be so close any more. High quality authentic ramen
I ordered ramen with a friend. The restaurant also has a bar next door. Very decorative inside. It’s a little dark so there is not a lot of natural light that comes in.
The ramen was ok. It did not really stand out to me in presentation or flavor.
This place is such a vibe, it’s a small and cozy area where you sit bar style. We started by ordering drinks– a sapporo
Came to Toki Underground after it was recommended several times. It was even better than I expected. The staff was very friendly and helpful with picking out cocktails and food and were very attentive. I had the Only Fans Martini which was delicious, but definitely for people who really enjoy gin. We also ordered the fried chicken and pork belly steamed buns which were incredibly tasty and came with amazing dipping sauces. Finally, I had the ramen which was one of my favorite ramens I’ve had in DC. The decor was very cute and it was a cool small cozy space. I’ll definitely be back!
The appetizers are to die for! We had the vegan dumplings and the cauliflower bao buns. Flavors are a blast.
Now that I live in NE, this has become my go-to spot for ramen. Their delivery is excellent. I’ve ordered delivery twice, and the ramen is perfect. Only need to heat the broth a bit and then pour it over the noodles. Yum!
