Service was great.  The wait was really long for two street tacos (35 mins) and it was not busy.  Again, the server was amazing and I’d love to come back and try their margaritas, but the tacos were so bad I didn’t eat them.  Well, I ate half of one, that’s why I threw them out.  I didn’t know one could do that to tacos.  I wasn’t sure if I was eating meat or some vegan alternative for chicken street tacos.  The chicken looked like some kind of crumbled chick-pea substitute, and tasted wretched, and given the lack of other patrons ordering food to go I don’t believe I got another person’s lunch as there were no other persons, and I waited 35 minutes.  Having had the pleasure of enjoying tacos from Ensenada, Baja, all the way to Birmingham, WA, to say these are the worst tacos I’ve had in my life is a bold statement.

Not a fan. Sign said “order at back counter”. We walk back, lady at the counter is very nice, tells us to take a seat and she will come get our order, asks if we want chips and salsa. We say yes please. 10 minutes later a different lady takes our drink order. Doesn’t seem as nice. A Margarita, two virgin margaritas and a water. 20 minutes pass she comes back and takes our food order. Still no drinks, or chips. 2 other tables with couples are there. 1 table with like 5 teenagers, they already finished eating. About 5 minutes later she brings the Margarita and two virgin drinks… still no water. I ask if I can get my water, and the chips. She says “I’m getting them”. She brings back my water and chips (40 minutes after sitting down). 10 minutes later we get our food. Tables were sticky, benches felt like they were gonna fall apart, they keep the front door open so the entire place smells like cigarettes. My son asked why it smelt like Reno. My kids food was pretty good (steak quesadilla and carne asada burrito). Big servings. My food was warm (cheese in enchiladas weren’t melted), my wife’s taquitos tasted like old fryer grease and were not good. Beans and rice were the star in my opinion. I tipped, said thanks. I won’t be back though. Too many other better options in the area.

If you are going to advertise a challenge with a large jackpot reward and can’t pay up, just get rid of it! Don’t make up a lie that someone got the jackpot right before some travels from out of state to do the challenge. Especially if you claim he’s a local and the guy himself couldn’t even get the time he supposedly beat it or the details of the challenge correct. Dishonesty loses business and you deserve to lose a lot of it. You also owe the real winner $1500. Shame on you for false advertising and scamming an honest competitor. Smdh!

We love Taqueria Corona! It is my favorite Mexican food in town. The portions are big, the food is delicious, and the atmosphere is fun! My husband and I split nachos recently, and it would have been enough to feed 4 people. A mountain of delicious food! Can’t wait to go back for happy hour $5 margarita!

If you have not been since the new owners, give the a try!

Ran in for lunch. No lunch menu. Had 2 pastor tacos and a beef sopa. No flavors! Using the green salsa helped a little bit not a lot. The chips were warm, salty, and tasty but not homemade. Salsa that can with the chips was basic puréed tomatoes. Again, no flavor. 2 stars because I did eat it! Shockingly bad for Mexican food. My Waiter was nice, prompt!

The outside is easy to miss, and the online menu needs some help – but they have some of the best service I have seen in Forest Grove they are warm, friendly, and have great memories. It is also THE cleanest Mexican Restaurant in Forest Grove. All of the flavors are authentic, and they are adaptable to diet restrictions.

Food is good but they charged $26 for two margaritas when they should have been $5 per Margarita and they would not refund the difference.  There is a big sign as you walk in the front door, “$5 Margarita’s”.   We won’t be back.  Good luck.

This was the first restaurant we ate at in forest grove as we were buying a house nearby. Marissa couldn’t have been more welcoming and was so warm and outgoing. We have been back several times since we closed on our house and it is always very solid. The margaritas are good and fairly priced. The food is good and are large portions. They have a burrito challenge that I won’t partake in, but it is entertaining to look at all the pictures. It’s just a nice and friendly place with good food.
