This place delivers exactly what is promised: mouthwatering burgers and fried food at a very fair price. The Sobelman burger totally lives up to the hype. I recommend getting a double patty and a side of the cheese balls, though the fries are also perfectly cooked. And, of course, you have to order the Bloody Mary! Overall, I can’t imagine a more Wisconsin bar than this.
Had to try this place as it’s labeled a Milwaukee institution. Can be very busy with a wait particularly during brunch hours
There are so many reasons Sobelman’s is the best place for burgers in MKE. One is that I have a lot of dietary restrictions and they make it super easy for me to have a great burger-and-fries meal. Last night, I ordered and one element was incorrect; the owner was so kind and helpful, and delivered the new burger personally to my home along with a free burger coupon. Their customer service is next level and it makes me even more appreciative of this family-owned business.

Disappointed. Was quite excited to have their raved about Bloody Mary. It left much to be desired, unfortunately. Not much flavor. However, our server was fabulous, and the food was very good.

Was really looking and craving for my favorite burger “sobelman’s burger”. Today walked in the place, sat at the bar for approx 5 minutes, place not busy at all. No one paid attention to us, lots of workers all over the place not sure what they were doing?! We left, and now about to enjoy a burger at Camino. What a disappointment.
The sandwich didn’t come with my fries 😡😡😡😡🙁 but it was still good tho lol.
