This is a terrific place that is fun, reasonably priced, and a great place to go with friends and family.
~ The meatball appetizer was awesome as was the pasta dish I ordered as well as the cocktail I started with too!!~ Highly recommend.~
Great restaurant! Went after a Providence college basketball game on a Saturday night. Wonderful relaxed meal with great service. Shared apps among the 6 of us and then ordered entrees. I had the salmon and it was fabulous! A large portion, too. Everything was reasonably priced and delicious. Will definitely be back!
I’ve lived in Providence for a few years now and had yet to eat at Sienna and boy am I glad I finally went!! It was AMAZING. From start to finish, everything was delicious and our service was outstanding. Our server Nathan was very well versed in everything Sienna! He was very personable, attentive and provided great suggestions which all just added to how great our night was. I can’t wait to go back!
New to Providence, my friends and I asked someone who lives here for the name of a good Italian restaurant. He recommended we try Siena, and we were not disappointed. Our waitress was phenomenal, the charcuterie was delightful, the salmon was delicious and cooked to the perfect temperature, and the salads looked amazing. Dessert was unbelievable. Would definitely return.
Food was 3.8 (we had apps, entrees and dessert – good but not great. Scallops were undercooked – had to send back. Cold Bread basket, no olive oil? We asked for it to be warmed and for some olive oil, which seemed to be a bother to our waitress.
Service was 2.5 (felt like waitress just tolerated us – for dessert I asked for candle in dessert but she forgot coffee, drink etc). Finally brought 15 min after husband was done. Rest of staff (bartender, hostess, etc) were extremely nice however!
Ambience was 3 (it was extremely busy Sat. night – nice restaurant but loud. Despite Birthday reservations, we had to wait 30 m at bar and then were seated at a 2-seater next to bar and had wait staff blasting past us every 5 seconds. All other couples were at 4 seat tables in the dining room areas. Twice they tripped over my foot or bumped into us.) There should not be a table there.
Value 4 (decent value for the $ but just didn’t wow us and probably would not be back)
Bonus pts – A Very Nice touch was a bday card for my husband signed by each member of staff!
Between the excellent service (Michaela??) and the fantastic food, dinner was definitely a 5 star experience. We ordered the signature tasting board which had prosciutto, parmesan, olives, toasted ciabatta, candied walnuts and fig jam. All of this for $13. The wine that our server recommended was everything that we hoped it would be. I ordered the penne alla vodka with chicken and it was excellent. We finished with the dessert special which was a perfect finish to a wonderful night. We’ll be back,and soon!
Wonderful experience start to finish. I had been here once before and I’m not sure why I did not come back sooner. From the moment we entered everything was five star. Our waitress was very knowledgeable and even though they were packed we ordered quickly. I had a pomegranate martini that was perfect for the holiday season. My friend and I shared the meat and cheese board with prosciutto, Parmesan, olives, spiced nuts and fig jam-all delicious. For my main course I had the scallops and a side of Brussels sprouts and my friend ordered the short rib. Both were cooked perfectly. We had no room for dessert, but those looked good as well. Take advantage of the valet or take Lyft/Uber-parking on Federal Hill is always tough.
Tried to get into Camilles but it was jammed. Walked up Atwell and got 2 seats at the bar. What a lucky break.
Had a meatball app that was incredible. Highly recommended by the bartender who was attentive and on the spot.
For my entree i had the Veal Parm (off menu) but amazing. The sauce, breading and veal all top notch. My son had the chicken parm and it was equally as good.
Don’t miss Siena when in Federal Hill in Providence. Very good all around.
This place delivers very delicious dishes. Service is great. And price point is very affordable Only complaint is the noise level. It’s a busy place and maybe they’re trying to get too many diners in. Ask for the back room. Make sure to order the eggplant appetizer and the saltimbocca.
Came here with a party of 5 for dinner on a Sunday night. We had reservations. I was surprised how busy the restaurant was for a Sunday. It was also very loud making it difficult to hear clearly the conversation at our table. The server was very friendly and did her work expertly, including an impressive command of a long menu and ingredient list. We all enjoyed our meals, and my absolute favorite item was the chocolate bread pudding! Highly recommend this restaurant though beware of noise level and to make a reservation in advance.
