The ambience is decent except for the extremely loud music. They could tone down the volume a way lot, maybe play some Indian classical instrumental stuff which is meant to create a good soothing ambience.
I am a big south indian food fan!
Great authentic Indian food. We had both south as well as north Indian food and loved the taste as we all as the experience. The service was quick.
The restaurant is in its own building. We had to wait more than 10 minutes to be seated even though there was no one waiting before us and not very many customers at that time. The front desk lady was writing something and didn’t even acknowledge that we were there until after 10-15 mins. Service was typical Indian restaurant service. The food was good. I wish people serving were more friendly and enthusiastic.
Been a while since we ate here. Service has improved 100%. We were seated quickly. Food was delivered to the table very fast and was excellent. Customer service was wonderful. Keep at it.
Had heard about this chain from various friends so decided to give it a try. After asking about their most popular dosas, I was suggested to try Mysore Masala Dosa. Within 5 minutes of placing the order the dosa arrived. It was soft, very very thin and barely warm. The potato stuffing was very mild and lacked flavor. Chutneys we’re ok. The Sambhar lacked that authentic Bangalore flavor. I was thinking of trying their filtered coffee, but the disappointment prevented me from trying. Service was good, but not the food.
Looked for Vegetarian restaurant in Irving. Found an authentic South Indian Restaurant. We were put on waiting list for a little while. Then, the waitress came and told to follow. She wasn’t communicating clearly and looked shy. I guess she recently started working. We ordered the 2 set of Saravanaa Special Meal. It loved the food even though, it was my first time trying South Indian Food. If you are looking for vegeterian restaurant around Irving, this is the one.
I always love saravana bhavan! They have the one of the best breakfast servings. We ordered thali and different breakfast combos.
Food here is absolutely mouthwatering and exceeded our high expectations of this franchise 🙂 !. We were passing through Dallas and dropped by to have dinner on two successive evenings. Between 3 of us, we covered around 10 items on the menu :)…food was served hot and fast. And despite being located in a nice suburb, the cost is very affordable. I would highly recommend having the special meals :)…the menu has great indian desserts, and in addition the same mall has other indian eats including an ice cream shop to wash down your meal with something sweet…the servers are also very friendly and respectful. overall an amazing culinary experience! 🙂
I rarely do 1-star reviews but the front desk staff was disrespectful and unprofessional.
