Great Chicago style food
Nothing says Chicago better than Ray Ray’s, yes it’s small and a decent amount of wait time, but I’m telling you it’s absolutely worth hitting this place up
You know when you see one of those guys in a parking lot with the big oil barrel grill, and you can smell the BBQ from 3 blocks away, and you know this is going to be the best thing you’ve tasted this week? It’s like that, but now he’s inside. The guy that took the order was smiling and helpful. He offered us a taste of the brisket, which he pulled straight out of the smoker. My wife got that and it was amazing! Next time I would skip the BBQ sauce because the meat was perfect without it. I got the Italian beef,, WET of course! And that is a religious experience. Flavorful and tender, just perfect. My wife had her doubts as we pulled up, but she’s a believer now!
First time here, the Italian beef with onion and peppers was superb. Cool place, great staff.

Great food. Definitely recommend.
Really good food and incredibly kind folks working there. They even struck up a conversation with my kid and gave him a free sample of the lemon pound cake. I had the Italian Beef sandwich with peppers and onions. It was as big as my head and really good! My son had the kid’s hot dog which was “perfect” in his words. Awesome find which we’ll be back to next time we’re in Kalamazoo!
