The BBQ pork sandwich is awesome! Even better if you order it “hot” by adding jalapeños. The loaded fries are enough to eat on for a couple of meals. Their breakfast sandwiches can’t be beat and they’ve always been very friendly. Love this place! Its drive thru and take out only but good enough to bring me back a couple times a week for lunch. Highly recommend.
Great little place right off the Interstate, don’t drive by too quick or you’ll miss it, the bbq is pretty good. It hits the spot every time I’ve yet to be disappointed. The drive thru moves quickly and so does the takeout ordering. I’ve had the pork plate and the cole slaw a few times but what keeps me coming back is the fried bologna sandwich. Comes with mayo lettuce and tomato with the choice of cheese which is a little extra.
Always good for breakfast. BLT with extra bacon are the best and the bologna BLT. Prices are a little steep but making due with it. Lol
This place has good food; but their customer service is THE PITs. They use to get ALL orders correct until the current girl came to the window. I had to tell them my order TWICE and they STILL got it wrong. They forgot to add an item. I called and told them that they didn’t add my item. Then I said I was coming back to get it. They said ok. Understand that I NEVER go into ANYTHING with an attitude. I don’t get loud or unruly, or anything because it solves NOTHING. I approach everything calmly and pleasantly. I expected them to give me the item I ordered TWICE. They said they forgot to charge me for it. I understand that, but that wasn’t a mistake on MY behalf-especially when I told them TWICE. When I went back to let them correct THEIR mistake, the manager got really rude with me and said, “We’re not going to just give you something free because WE made a mistake.” I said, “Ok. I won’t be back.” This restaurant does have good food; but in all, this restaurant lost a lifetime patron for an item that was $2.23. Oh well.
Great BBQ and burgers Big flavor from a small building. Breakfast is good too. Takeout only
I can remember coming here when I was younger. My auntie loved this place! After many , many years this establishment came up in a recent conversation so I decided to have lunch here.
Surprisingly when I arrived a little after 12 pm, there were a few people in the drive thru. The inside was closed. I placed two orders not from the lunch menu. Their prices are insanely cheap in my opinion! I ordered the rib tip plate which their plates all come with coleslaw , baked beans and fries. I ordered a pork plate too. Both plates came with a good amount of food!
The one drawback for me was that I immediately got a headache after eating this pork! It had a really good smoked flavor though . Also, they put a bit too much sauce on the rib tips. The bbq sauce was tasty but just more than I prefer. The coleslaw also had way too much mayo in it. YUCK! The fries and baked beans were perfect!
I love a good hole in the wall and this certainly is a hole in the wall. I will definitely come here again to try more menu items but I’m staying away from the rib tips. We did not get along!

An amazing hidden gem. This has become a favorite and I eat lunch here weekly. Great service, great food, great prices. I’ve been told the breakfast is even better than the lunch. My personal favorite is the ham sandwich. Do yourself a favor and call ahead.
Terrible example of barbecue. Sauce was not good at all! No smoke to barbecue. Whomp whomp.
Best breakfast in Birmingham. My choice is an Egg and cheese on a bun with mayo and a pickle. Add to that another with a piece of ham. This has been my choice since they opened. Store is always clean all the way out to the street.
Service is great. The line at lunchtime moves along at a quick pace. Plenty of on street parking in this industrial area of town. The staff is super friendly. The ladies have grown up there.
The food is consistently excellent there from visit to visit. The barbecue is tender and flavorful. The barbeque sauce is not over powering or too hot. It is great on their REAL french fries, too.
I’ve never had anything there that I wouldnt be glad to have again.
Great food, great prices, great service
We called ahead and the message said they were open. I know times are crazy but simply update your message. We drove down town to stop by this place and they are closed with a help wanted sign outside their door. Off the Hwy and closed, added time to our trip and no food. No a happy camper.
