Lovely spot with GREAT meat: definitely the ONE place for a carnivore in Lausanne. The steak tartare is delicious, proposed either plain, or flambé with vodka (but still totally raw inside, phew!). The other lovely option is the charbonnade, with slices of excellent raw meat to be cooked at the table over charcoal. Great fries, and good salad to go with your meat.
In summer, the outside terrace is pleasant, settled under the trees.
Reservations highly recommended…
Now, if you aren’t into meat, or like it overcooked only, don’t! It isn’t a burger joint.
Not a fan of the decor, but the entrecôte was good! Nice sauces come with the steak, but watch out for butter overload! Also, the steak comes in 2 servings, and the second serving is overcooked. The place is famous for its steak tartar and it seems most people were ordering that. They finish it at the table, flambéed in vodka. The side dishes were not good. Our green beans were brown and soggy.
