Papa Johns Pizza

I will admit that it’s been a while since I lived close enough to a Papa Johns to have eaten there more than a couple of times in the last decade. But about 18 months or so ago I did get to try their Parmesan Crusted philly cheese steak and Chicken BBQ Papadelias a couple of times, along with their chicken poppers. They were pretty good. So today I was where  I could order delivery and I bought a couple of the philly cheese steak and Chicken BBQ Papadelias each and an order of BBQ Chicken Poppers. I was expecting them to be pretty good, because that order cost me close to $50 to get delivered 2 miles away. Pretty high for that much food, but I thought of it as a bit of a splurge/treat, and bought it anyway. Boy, was I disappointed. Both versions of the Papadelias had more peppers and onions than meat, not to mention that both were mostly pizza crust. Think about it: a philly cheese steak that has more onions and peppers than beef. And then there was the chicken poppers. Way more batter than was necessary. If there is ever a next time, I’m going to order plain chicken poppers and get a bbq sauce container, or better yet use my own bbq sauce. Getting them plain will allow me to crisp them up a bit in the air frier to see if that improves the texture and flavor of the gooey mess I got today. I kind of expected the supply chain issues to increase prices, but I’d hopped at these prices the quality would be the same. No such luck.

Should have looked at the reviews before ordering. Our order was missing a beverage and when calling in to notify we were told they would just give us one next time (after seeing our pizza there will not be a next time) instead of making our order right. Our pizza was not hot, toppings not spread out on the pizza. Clearly carelessly made. We had to add more cheese to our pizza and cook it ourselves because there was absolutely zero cheese on a good part of the pizza. Left a good tip because of covid, but this is just ridiculous. Employees are not trained on social distancing

The pizza here was simply gross. It arrived like warm and looked as if a kindergarten class on a field trip had made it. Worst of all the taste was horrific.

Just ordered a pizza from here and it came with no garlic sauce. I am PISSED. That’s papa Johns signature thing and they fucked it up. Go figure. Never in my life have I ordered a pj’s pizza and not had garlic sauce. I will not be ordering from this location again.

The pizza is average, but this evening I was excited to come home to pizza – then confused when I came across a delivery driver parked right in front of my driveway, blocking my path home. I waited a few minutes, called my boyfriend to confirm he’d already gotten the pizza, and then waited a bit more before honking.

I don’t know what they were doing that was so important but it was inconsiderate and unprofessional. Not just to me but to other people who might have wanted to pass down the street. Would it have killed the driver to simply park in an appropriate way and walk a few extra feet? Jeez.
