This is not it. In terms of taste, vibes, service and price. No Ma’am.
Taste – go to sweet greens. Objectively a salad is pretty standard but their dressing has no flavor. The best thing in my bowl was the tomatoes and that from nature.
Vibes – they provide silverware to conserve but where do you put the silverware when you’re done? There was no bucket to collect used forks (also they do a real bad job of cleaning the silverware). They have a small trash can that can fit maybe 5 of their containers and then it overflows. Flies literally everywhere. Theres 3or 4 tables in the corner that can only fit 2 people each. So no big groups.
Service- This is supposed to emulate a fast food chipotle style salad place. The service is supposed to be subpar and quick. Tell me why when the worker asked for the next person (and I was the next person) they served 2 white men before me (a POC female). The two white men weren’t even together. Ok if it was 1 person they didn’t see me. But it was 2 the first time when she said next I raised me hand and she pointed to the guy behind me. AND IT HAPPEND AGAIN. I raised my hand and they took the order of someone behind me. EVEN WHEN I FINALLY GOT MY ORDER. They rang up 2 white people before me. Fuck this place.
Lastly price- for a decent salad at sweet greens you can pay $15 with protein. Here I paid $21 for a sad tasteless salad.
Here’s the tea: I am not a salad gal. It’s typically hard for me to stomach cold raw vegetables, don’t love typical dressings, and if I’m backed against the wall and salad is the only thing I can eat I’ll get the carb-iest, cheesiest, toppings, and only pick at them.
Every so often I become somewhat interested in re-testing whether my disdain for salads remains. One such day I decided I would try Mixt for the first time and approached a trusty friend (Sindhu I.) to copy her go-to Mixt salad. It was a build-your-own: Mixt greens, cilantro lime vinaigrette, cherry tomatoes, parmesan, garlic herb croutons, black beans, red bell peppers, and the marinated organic tofu (“you can’t forget the tofu, it’s important”).
Boy was it actually so good. Pricy for sure, but the portions are huge and I’m filled after one salad as I would be after an alternate meal. The salads are also consistently fresh and tasty. They prep fast. I actually become obsessed. Ordered this salad a couple days in a row. Tried other salads from other stores, but nothing has beat this.
Five stars to both Mixt and the Sindhu Salad Consultancy for helping me find my all-time favorite salad. Can’t wait to try more from Mixt!

Elote salad, fresh and made to order. The portions are huge but they gladly put one salad on 2 plates for me to share. (My photo is of a HALF portion of the salad and it still filled the plate)
Service was great and friendly. I would definitely recommend trying them out.
I had never had a Mixt salad before , I always walked in front of this place until I decided to get a salad, and it was the best salad I have ever tasted before! (Peachy salad) the crunchiness of the cornbread and the sweetness of the syrup and the delicious crispy chicken i love it, I will totally give it 5 stars!
I visit this MIXT a few times a week for lunch! You get your meal quickly since they put it together right in front of you (no waiting 15min for the kitchen to work through its queue). There are plentiful healthy salad options – this isn’t the pathetic cheese/cheese/chicken/more cheese options many restaurants offer. (And if you’re into that sort of thing, MIXT has multiple cheese
Ordered a chicken Caesar salad with avocado for pickup. It was labeled with my name on the box and it was an easy process to pick up. Salad was very good overall, loves the fresh avocado.
This is a wonderful salad place they have a bunch of pre-made salad options and tons of toppings for you to make your own. The price is great and the salads are huge one of the best places to eat if you’re looking for a healthy option in San Francisco. The staff is also very friendly they tend to get pretty busy so give yourself plenty of time.
So disappointed with the service at this place. I ordered through grubhub twice, and both times, they did not give me avocado in my order (which I paid extra for)! They are also insanely cheap on the quantity of food. I expected much more for the price that I paid.
And this is why. I am from out of town. I am at the parade. I heard how good this place was. I love how big and juicy the elote salad is. But it’s petty and morally wrong to close down the bathroom to their paying patrons. They have closed it because of the parade. They don’t want Random’s using it. This salad was $18. I would pay another $18 to just use the bathroom. I am disappointed in management that makes these calls. I am in management too and this is horse sh!t! Thank you for the beautiful salad but this is an awful way to treat your customers!!! I see their employees using the restroom, but nobody else can.
