Joanne and her family are not just the most wholesome family but their food is absolutely astounding. We got take out until they started dining in where we had the most pleasant dinner experience in a long time. Joanne is like family, so do yourself a favor and have the best hole in the wall dining experience.
Dined in at Mandarin Wok tonight. Food is great as usual. Had sizzling rice soup, Tso’s chicken and Mandarin Shrimp. Large portions, tasty food.
Great Chinese. Joana is really nice. Check it out. The Orange chicken and Duck is really good.
We were here last year while on vacation. Not much has changed other than they have less employees. We were seated fairly quickly but then the wait began. We weren’t impressed last year with the paper plates and plastic silverware. Water came in the form of a bottle at the table and all the food was served in paper cartons. No dishes this year they must not have employees to wash them or they have just opted for cheaper. With all that being said the food was still pretty good and the flavors gave it more stars than the service. It took over 1.3 hours for 2 appetizers 1 entree and fired rice. Plus water. Not sure I would return for inside dinner but maybe take out is the other option.
This ain’t royal Mandarin and that’s been my go to since the early 2000’s I didn’t want to drive down to plaza to get it so I went here it was not hitting like royal Mandarin does. I got salt and pepper shrimp and salt and pepper wings man they were crunchy and heavy on the accent and black pepper but no red pepper flakes and the green onions made this a 2 star and not a one. Plus they were charging royal Mandarin prices those two items and some not so great white rice came out to 30 bucks. Not for me the customer service was good and it didn’t take long but I would’ve waited if it would have made it taste better.
Very good family owned traditional Chinese restaurant. My favorites are the salt and pepper wings, pork fried rice and mongolian beef.
I hate to write a review like this but this was the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had. My husband and I tried everything we ordered and it was all so flavorless and gross. Seriously so so gross. The mandarin lo mein tasted like rotten seafood, orange chicken absolutely no orange flavor, soggy sweet and sour chicken and I don’t even want to know what was going inside the egg roll. We threw everything away and are now out $75. Just avoid this place.
Normally this place is completely delicious. Tonight, however; my egg fu young was burnt, scorched eggs, my egg drop soup had no flavor, but the mushroom chucked was delicious. I hope the next time I go here it’s better.
Gluten free Orange Chicken was AMAZING!!! I called and spoke to Joann and she was such a sweetheart. I asked if they have gluten free and she asked what I would like. I told her I am craving Orange Chicken. She said “I can make that GF for you honey, just come see me”. She was seriously the sweetest lady! it was soooo good too! Thanks Joann!!!
I love this place! Joanne is the best! Eat here today! Great food!
