Love their freezer specials, and lunch meats. Fantastic place, friendly staff and great prices on meats and specials.
I’ve been going to Lapp’s Meats since 2016. I bought meat from the previous owner and from the current owner, Henry. I have had a great experience every time.
I highly recommend Lapps, they are the ONLY grill in town with a butcher on site for FRESH dishes. I order my meat package ahead, might I add the are custom wrapped the way you like (1 lb packages…etc). I pick my package up and grab a bite to eat.They even have delivery available! They truly are the best kept secret!!!
Would give zero stars if possible. My parents bought a 3 1/2 lb roast from here on March 21st and had invited my husband and I over to enjoy it with them for dinner. We were all very disappointed in the quality of the meat. It was so tough/chewy you needed a chainsaw to cut it and jaws of steel to chew it. Luckily we had gravy to smother it in because that’s about the only way we could get it down. My parents said they will never go back.
Where’s Joe! Won’t be going back again, since new owner took over it has been down hill, quality of meat is bad ,higher prices. I had loaded my freezer during pandemic but wont again. And when they use scrap cheese on my cheese steak instead of a couple slices makes me wonder what other scrap Iam getting. Joe was the backbone of that place hardest dedicated worker I ever saw. Shame
I found myself in Parkesburg. Just what I expected from the amish, clean fresh deli. The cheesesteak was good. Felt like real steak. Thicker slice. roll tasted homemade. Roll was bigger and bready than I like for a cheesesteak. Lots of mushrooms and cheese. Everything was good, fresh and priced right it just needed some city of brotherly love, love.
New ownership has ruined this place. I got a chicken cheese steak yesterday and it gave me food poisoning. I don’t know if the chicken was rotten or just not cooked. A group of us went there for lunch, they didn’t have beans for a burrito or filet for their steak sandwich. As a restaurant, how do you run out of those food items? They have also raised their prices. They used to have the absolute best rib special on Wednesday. New ownership took over and continuously screwed up how it was cooked. The rib special has since been cancelled.
I have been a customer for many years and will only buy my fresh meats at Lapps. Ground beef is no comparison to what they sell in the grocery store. Chicken, pork, beef all top notch and they will cut to order. Friendly staff, great customer service and always super clean!
Place is awesome great staff, always helpful and friendly, lunch speacuals are great. The meats are fresh from the deli and always cooked to perfection highly recommend
This is the only place we buy our meat from I absolutely refuse to buy or eat meat from anywhere other then Lapps! Always so fresh, meaning it’s not prossed to last longer like in every other grocery so yes if you leave a pack of meat In your fridge for a week it will go bad quick! Which is a great thing because normal grocery meat seems to last forever, yuck😷 you cannot beat the quality and prices of this place it is simply the best! Staff and owners are always very nice! Store is super clean. So happy we found this place when we moved to PA last year ! Everyone should stop by and see the place, guaranteed you won’t want to buy meat from anywhere else again !
