Came here later in the evening on a Sunday with my wife. We were immediately sat and had our order taken. Our chef was super friendly and very personable. I felt pretty bad for him because the other people seated with us were wet blankets and had no part in being at a hibachi restaurant. They could have just sat at a table and eaten the hibachi. Hibachi is supposed to be entertainment… If you have no desire for the antics then don’t sit at the grills. It ruins it for everyone else and makes it miserable for the chef.

Food was good, price was reasonable, sushi came out fast. Above average hibachi restaurant.

Once you been to a Japanese steakhouse you pretty much been to them all. My experience at Kabu though, was pretty dope. Excellent drink selections, fresh sushi, and great entertainment. The scorpion bowl was one hitter quiter and made to share!

The dancing angel sushi roll was different.  It was topped with bbq eel sauce . The hibachi was very good from the soup to the entre. The hibachi chef was the life of the party! He interacted with the entire table and was not afraid to show his culinary skills

Great menu, and consistent service all the time. Always been pleased with the delicious servings and good waiters/waitresses. Sushi, hibachi, drinks- everything’s great!

I used to like this place a lot, and frequented there for Happy Hour.  The drink and food specials are pretty decent with the price, but the quality of the drinks, especially wine has not been that great. The service is hit, or miss, as there is frequent turn over with the bartenders.

I find it a little odd that a sushi restaurant instead of dipping saucers for the soy sauce, they use round ramekins, which you can’t even fit a whole piece of sushi in.

My last visit, and it will probably be so for a while, finally did it for me.  I was sitting alone at the bar for happy hour, still eating…and the waitress passes by and sits the check next to me and walks off.  I had not asked for the bill.  I guess she saw the shocked look because she turned around and asked “Oh you weren’t finished, did you want something else?”  I told her that I had planned to order more, but never mind.

Then I opened the check and noticed that an automatic gratuity of 18 was already added.  I was sitting at the bar. I  was not at the hibachi table or with a large group.   I don’t appreciate having my tip added when I am one person and I got shotty service.

I may return one day, but it certainly won’t be anytime soon.

food was good but HOLY MOLY were we rushed!! we ordered our appetizers and weren’t even halfway though once the entrees came out. we had to ask for our drinks because we had started the entrees and they hadn’t come out yet. it was 25 minutes between when our tab was opened and when our waitress brought out our check!! i felt so rushed…

the portion size was not disappointing, I’d say it’s missing just the tiniest bit of flavor making it kinda bland but overall it was very nice. The appetizers I got were all perfect and the customer service was great. would recommend

Kabu is a hit or miss for me. Mainly due to the customer service. There are some levels of inconsistency with pricing and the options you’re given with certain things. Do not get me wrong I thoroughly enjoy their happy hour. However when it comes down to time with the lunch menu and opting out of things, that’s where it gets tricky. Sometimes I’ll be given the option to substitute things and other times I’m not. The food is great it’s just frustrating being told you can have/do one thing and then being told/charged something completely different. I do enjoy the bar staff. They are very kind and are never shy when it comes to making a drink. I was very impressed with how clean they keep their bar.

This is my third time dining and I was not disappointed. We sat at the bar and the bartender was friendly and attentive. Food came out super quick. I recommend if you’re looking for good hibachi.

Great hibachi restaurant! We’ve eaten in person and ordered takeout. The food is great. I love that you get both fried rice and noodles on the side. Their salad dressing is my favorite! They also accommodated my son’s egg allergy well. Highly recommend.

A good hibachi place for a spur of the moment fun! There was no wait and the food was made well and quickly. They only thing I found kind of strange was them adding the 18% gratuity (normal ok) but then they circled the additional tip line and were kind of forceful about adding a extra tip. I get it servers make money off of tips but applying to much pressure could be seen as rude or offensive.
