The square pie is so fluffy yet crispy the crust is perfect
The chicken jojo is amazing garlic bread so flavorful mixed with chicken parm huge portion of chicken cutlet smothered with sauce and so much mozzarella cheese. Chicken is so tender and well seasoned
Old traditional family owned spot on 18ave in my opinion better then da Vinci
My boss
Definitely a neighborhood pizzeria in Bensonhurst. We came here for a visit during Scott’s Pizza Tours (check out Trip Advisor) because it’s been there for decades and they make a good Sicilian pizza. Also should check out the Jo-Jo sandwich. It’s one of their signature menu items.
I didn’t have high expectations upon walking in. Inside looks like a typical old school pizzeria. I decided to go with a plain slice and it was good. Just the right amount of cheese and sauce. I would love to try the grandma slice soon and some of the other topping available.
According to my friend the pizza was good, but as soon as we walked in I felt a bad vibe from the owner.
He was giving 5 star customer service to my friend, but giving 0 star customer service to me?
Like how does that work?
He straight up ignored me when I asked him for a drink and seemed as if he didn’t want to talk to me. And when I asked the second time he didn’t have the best attitude towards me.
My friend and I instantly got the vibe that it had to do with something deeper.
Fill in the blanks from there.
Hands down the best pizza in Brooklyn. This place has never changed since I was a kid. Pizza is delicious and staff is very friendly!!!!
The pizza is solid new york pizza. Much less flavorful than it used to be. This used to be this best now they seem to just use the bottom of the tomato paste can and add water and prepare it. Also they lie about the prices. One day my sister called it was 24 a square and 17 round as advertised as their updated online menu and then one day i order its 20 a round 27 a square. They just try to rob you. Its not bad pizza but slices are very tasty while whole pies taste shitty. Its sad the best became the worst, sad for their legacy, their business and just the value. Still not bad tasting though hence the extra star. Plus it actually looks very beautiful lol il post pics to show what i mean
My 102nd review! It had to go to a place with a special place in my heart – J
Born and raised in this neighborhood and one thing I can tell you this is one spot that makes the best squares ever I highly recommend you try it
As good of a classic slice as you can get but for a price you can’t beat. The crust is crispy and never burnt. The cheese is exactly the classic slice cheese that we’re known for, literally brings me back 20 years to the slices I first had in Brooklyn. Not small by any means. 5 stars period.
