Been coming here for years, more since I refuse to patronize our preferred Mongolian spot (Owner yells at staff.)
Well today, I’m the meanie. Ordered 2 to-go lunches. I KNEW when they were bagged something was wrong, clerk was even mindful to point out which one was which (I have allergens
As my daughter said, “pretty dang good”. Every single person on the staff we interacted with was very pleasant and they seemed very happy that we were there. Buffet was clean, a lot to pick from and very very fast to get through the line.
Best Mongolian in the area. Ever since our favorite spot closed, we’ve enjoyed coming here to fulfill our cravings for Mongolian BBQ.
I want to like this place but a few things need improvement. First, the meats are served in this huge plastic bag instead of placing it on the tray. The sauce are very very watered down you literally have to scoop deep to get some thick curry otherwise it’s just water on top. Every sauce waa heavily diluted. The cook only cooks one plate at a time which makes the wait longer especially when you’re getting seconds and have to wait longer. Normally a cook for this kind of cuisine should be able to handle more than one serving in its huge round iron cook plate so the line will go fast and more people served.
I agree that the server/owner was rude and lacking customer service skills.
It’s a great concept though and if these small improvements can be made I am sure they will have better reviews.
Went to GK Mongolian on Fathers Day with my kids and had a horrible experience. The service was ridiculous. I had to literally raise my hand to try to get some service and it was still hard to get a servers attention. They never came to fill waters or ask if we needed anything after we got our food. We finally got our servers attention to ask for some sweet and sour sauce and the servers response was “it’s really thick and chunky, are you sure you still want some?”
Additionally, my son and his girlfriend asked for their two bowls of food to be cooked separately. The cooks specifically asked what they were requesting and then still mixed the two bowls together and while they were cooking it literally were taking shit about them.
Last and most importantly, the female server was making to go orders. She would put one glove on and continuously touched bowls, doors and other things and then would grab the food directly with her dirty gloved hand (not using the tongs provided) and put the food into the bowls for the to go orders. So unsanitary!
I tried to talk with our server regarding the service and how unsanitary I thought she was being making to go orders and she got very defensive and rude.
The food was good as long as you make it yourself, however based on the service and how unsanitary they were there I will not be going back to this Mongolian bbq place again!!
Definitely better Mongolian restaurants. I regret trying new and will definitely stick to what I know.
The interior is clean, organized and neat; definitely spend a lot of time taking care of their restaurant, but the food in subpar and tasteless.
Except for the potstickers, those are good! I wonder where they buy them from…
Tried this place for the first time. Was skeptical because reviews are not great. However we had a very good experience. Hostess was very nice and good was delicious. There was 4 of us and we enjoyed every bite. Meat was fresh and there was a large variety of veggies. Definitely coming back!!!

I’ve been coming here since the JJ Mongolian days. And this was my first (and really only) exposure to Mongolian bbq. We went to Changs in Folsom to try something new and because the ratings were high.
Horrible! Absolutely zero taste and the quality of noodles were bad – ala chef boyardee vs homemade pasta.
After Changs, I HAD to come in and rate you guys a 5. Easily
Love the food! I found this place when my friend recommended it and I’ve been addicted since. Really like the all you can eat after 3:30
My family has eaten here multiple times. The good was delicious (especially the appetizers). And the staff was really nice and friendly. Really love this place.
