This restaurant opened with high expectations and the Covid thing interrupted it. The food is, usually good but the noise level is awful and they make it worse with live music.

Forli is our go to place for authentic Italian food.  We hosted a party in their private room this past Friday evening.  For several of our friends, this was their 1st time dining there.  Everyone raved about the quality of the food and service.  Roberto

Our family has been coming here for years. The food is great and always consistent and the staff is WONDERFUL. We call it our local “cheers” where everyone knows your name, the atmosphere is warm and you see the same people (servers and owner there) everytime. Claudia the server and owners wife is so sweet and funny. I don’t think there are many (if any) places I can think of in Alamo/Danville with similar charm.  On some Thursday evenings they do have amazing live music (Grammy award winners who played with Santana) so if you don’t enjoy loud music then don’t come on a Thursday but we really enjoy that lively atmosphere. We love this place. 🙂

My family and I love this place and go regularly for the past two year. My favorite is the lobster ravioli and chocolate lava cake! So good. The owners and staff are also very sweet.

Food was good
Service was awful, we waited 45 minutes for 2 drinks
Ambiance: way too loud.

VERY SSSSLLLOOOWWW! EXREMELY LOUD! NOTHING SPECIAL IN SERVING ICE COLD FOOD! Save your money! Eat somewhere else unless you like eating dog food in a buffalo stampede!

Manager is too busy taking reservations to fill his restaurant than he has staff to cover! Loud, deafening music so you might as well eat at The Hard Rock Cafe for a more affordable meal! They are too busy being the sports bar hangout than serving family dinner. To speak across the table to another person you need to shout at the top of your lungs. NEVER, EVER AGAIN! Would give it zero stars if possible! Outright, PISS POOR EXPERIENCE!

Tonight, we ordered pickup because we read on NextDoor that the restaurant wasn’t doing so well and needed customers. So, we ordered chicken pesto penne, rack of lamb, beef short ribs, minestrone and Cesar salad.

Unfortunately, when we got there, they didn’t have our rack of lamb, even though it was repeated to us over the phone, it wasn’t even on the receipt. We brought the food home and shared family style instead. Also, the chicken pesto was not penne, it was gnocchi even though penne was on the receipt.

I used to love this restaurant. It’s sad that it’s not the same.

The food is great, the staff is friendly and welcoming. Nice Italian place. It reminds me of a place I used to go in Brooklyn,NY, with me grandparents.

Forli is a great place to embrace some Italian cuisine in Alamo. The food is delicious and hot! The staff was friendly and attentive. My only complaint, it may seem irrelevant to others, but the door mat is filthy, not the best “welcome” message as you enter an eatery!

First, let me say I was expecting a fine dining experience. This is not what I got. I have one star because the food is excellent and  the wait people are ok…my martini was great….as our dinner ended a diatribe of wild kids descended…running thru the restaurant…disturbing everyone…this is the type of behavior I would expect at a Chucky Cheese. I complained to the manager who condescendingly told me this is a FAMILY RESTAURANT….he proceeded to laugh at me as I left…I fail to see what was so funny… I would just like to warn others that are expecting a fine dining experience, they would have better luck at Primos!
Also, the sloppy unkept blonde with the accent acts like she works at an assembly line in a factory…no class…Alamo is a high end place…word is out so you better clean up your act and your nasty attitude or you won’t make it.
