My family and I went here for my 51st birthday–there were 14 of us. We did make reservations, but our table was ready a little early. Our server was Noah and he did a great job. The apps were the best and the banana cream pie was to die for. Thanks for making my birthday dinner stress free and so fun!! Noah even took this picture for us!
Always love dining here when in town. Hard to make reservations so highly recommend calling at least a day before, I tried 2 hours before with no luck. Luckily we got a table at the bar easily. The service was excellent, our waitress Noel made a killer Old Fashion with rye, she was not kidding when she said she knows her stuff. The food is also excellent, we loaded our little table with everything that could fit. Thanks Fats team- will be back.
If there was an option to put zero stars I would. The manager is extremely rude. They got my order wrong, and he had an attitude when I asked him for help, not to mention he’s extremely aggressive handing me my food back throwing and slamming it on the table. People like this should not be in customer service
Extremely rude and a disgusting place. Tried to get my food redone because there was a hair in my food. Put salt in my food to make sure they didn’t bring it back, but they did! Tried to talk to a manager but they did not care enough to communicate. Truly a horrible restaurant!
My favorite restaurant! Service, quality, and atmosphere keeps me coming back.
Fats is like P.F. Chang’s, but 10x better. The atmosphere is classy, but it does not seem like anyone is enforcing a dress code. You could come here for business and for a nice date. I came here on a Saturday night to celebrate a family birthday, and we had a lovely evening.
I did not understand until we were seated at the table that it’s really meant to be “family style.” Maybe it’s because I came with a five-person family and we sat in a large circular booth with a turntable center: we each got an entrée and dinner plates and bowls and shared them all. The thai seafood fat pot ($22) was my favorite dish, and the others were above average and better than P.F. Chang’s. I was so excited to have the banana cream pie for dessert, as I understand it’s a Fats classic, and it was delicious.
I appreciate that the business has been in the family for multiple generations, and that fact makes me like it better than P.F. Chang’s. Our service was attentive, and the parking lot was large enough that we weren’t scared that someone would too vigorously open their car door into our Porsche.
We have ordered a few times in the past two years and the service and food just keeps getting better! Ordered last night and it was yummy. More added veggies . Did not get fortune cookies but I’ll let that slide because the food was so fresh and good
First time and it was great — both food and service! We did make a reservation and noted that walk-ins who had arriveed at the same as we did, took about 30 minutes to be seated. So, recommendations advised.
Our cocktails were terrific — the Dim Sum were cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. We had the house special chow mein – just fantastic. Our waiter (and even our bus-server) were knowledgable, helpful, friendly and professional.
We will be back!
Probably the best Chinese food around here, more chainy than authentic but good. otherwise bamboo garden roseville is pretty good for more authentic. Most other places locally are pretty bad. Fats makes really good chow fun I was surprised, salt pepper chicken is very good. orange chicken is good. Egg rolls are good. Walnut prawns are just tiny frozen cheap shrimp I’d pass on that plate. Mongolian beef was ok, small portion kinda tough. Pot stickers sub par, just frozen ones you make at home. Dim sum was decent. It’s super overpriced but it’s pretty good if you know what to order.
We had my sister’s and niece’s birthday here. The waiter was amazing and patient and even laughed with us and our silly jokes. They let us bring a cake and provided the plates and lit it up with the candles we brought. The food was amazing. The plates were Enough for everyone. We had our own area and we took our time even after they closed. They didn’t rush us at all! Didn’t have picture of all the entrees but didn’t disappoint!
