I love Dough Zone, it’s slightly cheaper than the other super popular Taiwanese chain but the quality of the food is on par. My absolute favorite is the Noodles w/ Minced Berkshire-Duroc Pork, I can eat that dish over and over again. Other favorites are the soup dumplings and scallion pancake. But really I think you can’t go wrong with any dish here.

Taste was very average for an above average price. Not a good value in my opinion. Unimpressed.

Why would you pay a premium price for Air Jordans if you can’t tell the difference between that and a pair of knock offs from China at half the price.

I think most reviewers here are happy enough with the food here and are even happier to pay less for the food than to enjoy quality food at Din Tai Fung which does cost a bit more.

I’ve been a DTF regular since it’s first locations in Southern CA.   It’s been great going to the locations here in Seattle when I’m in town. DTF is a great restaurant and their prices have definitely gone up especially since Covid.

I went to DTF Monday and enjoyed a great meal. I went to Dough Zone the next day and also enjoyed a good meal at a fraction of the price. Notice I said good instead of great.

Now if I’m saying the food is good and the prices are great, why only 3 stars???  Because sometimes it’s better to pay more for the real thing.  Go to DTF!

It’s Seattles version of Din Tai Fung and it’s delicious. They’re pretty similar and the food is very good. We over ordered but took it home and ate the rest at home. I will say that the Wontons with Chili Sauce wasn’t the best here but the XLBs and noodles were very good.

Decent, but expected something more flavorful, especially after getting booted from the online check in and waiting 45 min. Food was plentiful and reasonably priced, but did not quite meet expectations.

Lovely place for lunch.  Good food and most items were around $7.  Service was fast, and friendly. I’d say this was shareable for smaller groups, as the portions were small; but was proportioned to the price.  XLB and qbao weren’t the best I’ve ever had,  but they were good. They leave the soy vineagar out so you can have more or less.   The salad with sesame dressing is was surprisingly good if you like a lot of dressing.  Jiang jiang Mang was just ok, and I’d pass. Id still definitely return, and it’s awesome that this franchise is expanding.

Love the waitlist feature here so there’s no wait once we get there!  I would recommend under table hangers to hang purses for the small tables!  Yummy food at great price points

Dough Zone was our first full meal in Seattle, and it was pretty good! There are some dishes that are a hit or miss, but we really enjoyed the Q bao. Prices aren’t bad, but service isn’t great. We waited a pretty long time for our friend’s Q bao even though two of our other friends also ordered Q bao and they came without the third order. The soup dumplings are small and not very flavorful, but the price justifies the size. The dandan mian was extremely numbing, and none of us wanted to finish it. Our friends also ordered beef pockets, which came out extremely oily.

It’s okay.

I’ve been to dough zone several times, and since it’s initial opening in Bellevue to its current expanded state the quality of the food has definitely gone down.

The best part were the crispy pork baos and the hot oolong tea. Everything else was mediocre. The soup dumplings were not quite hot when they came out and were all squished and stuck together on one side. Flavor was ok, but I think there’s other establishments like DTF or Supreme Dumplings that do it better. Price point may be higher at other places but you can taste the difference.

The worst item were the wontons in chili sauce- so tiny and the sauce had no kick. Mala noodles also had no flavor and ended up mixing in the vinegar, chili oil, and soy sauce to make it edible. The color was a vibrant red but felt no mala ting as I ate..pretty disappointing.

The cucumbers and pan fried potstickers were on the better end of the spectrum.

I have enjoyed microwaveable frozen dumplings more than some of these dishes. Dough zone is off my go-to list of places.

I was here a few months ago when we visited Seattle. We decided to give this a try before we left the city.

As we walked in, the employees kept walking right pass by us many times, but not one would stop to acknowledge us. About 4-5min later, we stopped one employee and asked if they have a table available for 3; he looked and said give him a few minutes. So, we waited again. We wondered why because they had so many empty tables available (it was around 1ish in the afternoon on a Monday).

After we finally got seated, it took a while for someone to come take our order. However, once ordered, items came out rather quickly. We ordered their XLB’s, steamed dumplings, sides of veggies and beef, and drinks. While everything was pretty good, but nothing amazed us. Especially the XLB, you can tell from the shape that’s not handmade in house because it looks like store-bought buns.

Service was better at the end, our server was somewhat attentive. We would only come back if we’re in the area, but wouldn’t come all the way here just for their food.
