I’ve eaten here several times and usually the food is good, but my last visit to the sugar house location was terrible. Steak on my tacos was cold. The chicken on my wife’s salad was not fully cooked and extremely chewy. We also found a hair in the salad, so we ended up throwing the entire thing away. Also, I feel like they have raised their prices too. We spent almost $60 to feed a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids under 5). Extremely overpriced for what you get. This will be our last time eating at cubby’s.
Note: shortstaffed at the moment, please be patient. Tables/benches had small insects, food crumbs on the floor. Ordered at around 8p.m. Disliked that the menu was far from the register, kept having to go back and forth! The restaurant is accommodating to Dairy/Gluten allergies. We were thankful they could substitute items and remove ingredients for us. Beet salad was great w/out the cheese. The Gypsy burger was too well done, but still tasty and great 👍. Must try the sweet potato fries with fry sauce!
Honestly way more impressed then I thought I would be. The Blender Bowl and HuckleLala we’re so flavorful and packed with incredible ingredients! I was blown away by how amazing they tasted and looked. I loved that the blender bowl came with the veggies chilled but the rice was warm underneath. Super good combo. The HuckleLala shake tasted divine and is honestly probably the best shake I’ve ever had!
We dined in at the Orem, Utah location. I noticed that they had reusable metal baskets being circulated however 90% of our order came out in to-go containers. Seems very wasteful not to mention a waste of money. Although I am happy that the packages were compostable. Unfortunately the utensils were plastic (why compostable packages but not utensils which are really bad for the environment?!).
Visiting from out of town.
We love coming to the Sugar House location. The service is great and food is even better. We appreciate how clean they try to keep it and the friendly staff. They also have high chairs for toddlers
The steak salad was amazing!! I feel like good steak is hard to come by these days, this steak was juicy and tender. I got the rosemary fries with the chipotle sauce too because “balance”!!!! Amazing lunch!!
Cubby’s is always a solid choice for lunch…or any meal for that matter. I’ve had their breakfast in several occasions and really liked it but I think their strengths are in their other offerings. While the biscuits and gravy, breakfast burrito, and French toast are fine, I have to say I really like their salads. The buffalo chicken one is my favorite one so far. You can’t go wrong with the rosemary fries and if you like sweet potatoes I would recommend getting 1/2 and 1/2. If you’re not afraid of adding a few extra calories to your meal be sure to chase it down with their Blueberry Buttermilk Shake! You’ll be glad you did.
Love the Tri-tip sandwich! It’s the perfect size and it makes my belly happy! The little known secret of Cubby’s is their breakfast! If you haven’t gone go! If you don’t want to try it get lost. You’re not worth my time.
A order at the counter receive at the table establishment with, burgers, sandwiches, salads, and soup. I tried the grilled cheese, Buffalo fries, and sweet potatoes fries. The grilled cheese want the greatest is ever had, but not gross… It was just okay. The sweet potatoes fries were good, and surprisingly the Buffalo fries seemed kind of bland. Not bad food, but not worth the price either.
