I’m really disappointed in having to leave a bad review because I am a big supporter of small businesses.

I want to preface this with the fact that this review does not apply to every vendor at bridge view box park as I have had good experiences, but only applies to The Beeline box truck.

My boyfriend and I got drinks from there on Friday night and the bartender seemed pretty drunk  (which we noticed after we ordered our drinks that she was drinking behind the bar and taking shots with customers). After getting our drinks we handed her our credit card to pay and a crowd walked up to order. A few minutes had gone by so we were assuming she was getting their drinks and returning our card. After they all walked away and we had still not gotten our card we asked her for it and she told us we never gave it to her. I confirmed that we did and there was a charge on our bank account. She argued with us and was clearly intoxicated and claimed she had no clue where it was and proceeded to try and charge us again. We had a dinner reservation we needed to get to so we left. Minutes later another charge went through at the same place. My boyfriend went back and the bartender continued to be rude. We ended up having to report the card stolen but this whole situation could’ve been handled a lot better and sadly I don’t feel comfortable ever going back.

Great social spot with cool stores, lots of drink options and plenty of seating.  Fun activities like music trivia and weekend music.   This will be the hoping spot once Ovation music venue opens up summer 2021.  Levee has done a great job prepping for the return to normalcy!!

Such a fun idea. Very nice, chill spot with great sunset views. Only reason it lost a star is it’s a little pricey. The bar only serves from souvenir cups that’s they don’t do refills. So if you have more then one of the 10 dollar drinks then you have a bunch of random cups to deal with.

Stopped in yesterday around noon to check out what the Levee is looking like.  Had a couple beers and some food and ended up staying quite a while.  Really nice setup and we feel a lot more comfortable outside these days.  The majority of people had masks on except when eating, drinking or in their own little groups.  Interacted with security (really nice), a cleaning fellow (also great) who was cleaning seating, tables etc as people left areas and talked with one group of patrons. They have some large Jenga and a cornhole set up in the area between the boxes and the Aquarium but at this time those seem like a great way to pass on the covid if you’re not careful.  There are hand sanitizers all over so cleaning your hands up some if possible. What is really lacking is restrooms unless you are in one of the open restaurants.

Got our beers from Wooden Cask Brewing box which had a number of selctions and was being worked by a fantastic young woman who we had nice converstations with with each time we refilled.  Tried a couple of empanadas from the Che’ on Wheels and were not very impressed.  Tried the Korean BBQ and the Chicken Salsa Verde and both were very dry with very little flavor. The BBQ ones were pretty much like eating wet strips of paper.  Lots of work still going on with the much needed updates by the new owners of the Levee.  Can’t wait for it all to be finished.

Box park is a really fun addition to Newport on the levee. It offers a variety of bars, food options, and non alcoholic options as well.  It has some of the best views in the city, and would be a great place to take out of town visitors or just a fun night out!  I also have noticed signs encouraging masks and social distancing as well as employees wearing masks , as well as customers in line wearing masks and abiding by Covid standards.

Box park is a great addition to Newport! Several vendors including wooden cask, tiki bar, plant shop, etc. Easy walk from downtown. They have a lot of seating, dogs welcome, and the views are great. I will be returning for sure. I also saw the staff at wooden cask wearing a mask, so I had a different experience than the other reviewer. Cheers!

The lowest health standards I have seen since the beginning of COVID-19. Maybe 1 in 5 people had a mask. I am beyond appalled in the health standards at Bridgeview Box Park. I will never be returning. Very few of the employees and patrons are wearing masks. The bathrooms were filthy and entirely too small for the number of people in there at a time.

There was no signage mentioning anything about social distancing or masks. I basically felt like everyone around was pretending like there wasn’t a pandemic going on.

The Che employee was not wearing a mask or gloves. He was playing on his phone and then touching food and serving it to people.

I messaged the Newport on the Levee page and was completely dismissed. Absolutely disgusting and disappointing because places like this are going to be the reason that rule following, safe, clean bars end up getting shutdown.
