My first time eating Korean fried chicken; along with two other adults and a young child we all dined inside. We ordered the largest plate of drumsticks – plenty for all and a few to take home. Staff very attentive. The person who made our adult beverages (forget the name, rice wine based I believe) was very careful when composing the delicious drinks. The ambience is not much, very cafeteria feeling, and there was a distinct odor when we walked in, probably fermenting kimchi. Would probably do takeout next time.

Always used to be good, but when I went last night, my order was somehow messed up, waited for 20 min while ppl who ordered onsite got their orders before my pre-order.

That was fine, but when I got home, the skins were soggy and falling off, don’t know what happened. They used to be really crispy. Maybe I just got a bad batch.

One of the best, if not the best, Asian-style fried chicken I’ve EVER had. The place is ALWAYS packed and the lines can get long. Get there early for lunch (11:30am) and you will find there is no line and can get in and out relatively quickly. The wings are delicious and the house sauce (soy garlic) is really savory and tasty. The chicken skin is lightly battered and the flavor kicks in right away. The sides are biscuits and coleslaw (kimchi or traditional). Fresh food, tasty greasy fair, and good service with beers and soju that you can merrily drink make for a great time and great eating. Enjoy!

Everytime I crave for Korean spicy chicken, this place has always been my go to place to satisfy my crave! I think this location has the best chicken compare to other locations

If someone ever asks me what a perfect chicken wing with a sauce tastes like, I will tell him/her this one.

The spicy chicken wing is the best ever chicken wing I ever had. Drumsticks are okayish.

My initial review was over five years ago. And Bonchon will always be my favorite Korean fried chicken chain. This is also probably my favorite location in the Bay Area.

Service and food are still excellent, years later!

Don’t get your strips from anywhere else!

It seems Bonchon is transitioning to frozen, pre-breaded strips at every other location I’ve tried. Honestly, they taste like microwaved chicken nuggets with spicy sauce drizzled on.

Sunnyvale still makes fresh, delicious strips that are worth buying!

I’ve added photos for comparison. I’ll keep ordering strips from Sunnyvale as long as they keep making them fresh!

Got to go here and our experience wasn’t too bad. My bf was craving Korean fried chicken and he reports that he really liked it. I thought it was decent but wow the spicy sauce was pretty spicy. Avoid if you can’t handle this. The fries were not that great but not the worst I’ve had.

The front people who helped us at the counter were ok but not the friendliest. I think they need to hire maybe two more people or maybe they’re just unfriendly servers. There were two parties seated and two parties including us waiting at the front. I would go back to try the food while inside the restaurant to see if my experience is better.

The dokboki texture wasn’t the best. I feel like I’ve had better at the one in Los Angeles.

My favorite Korean fried chicken. It has great flavors and the sides are good as well. It is kinda pricy for the amount we get for 2 people.
