DON’T COME!! DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME. The food is just very soso. Plus worst custom service forever.
My go to place – for raw Hilsa, small fish. I also find their cooked offerings of Hilsa, Chicken, and vegetarian items very homely and flavorful.
This store does not deserve even a single star. I went in and was told they were too busy and did not even have time to listen to me about what I needed. There were no customers in the store just me. Pathetic and rude. Learn how to treat customers and definitely what customer service is all about.
Excellent authentic Bengali food such as Fuchka, Chotpoti and fish curries. Good selection of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian items.
After ages we had good Bengali food !! Hilsa curry was awesome with very balanced flavors , even vegetarian options are wide and delicious in taste !!! Service was fast and very good !! Overall pleasant experience with good food !! We definitely recommend this place for fish lovers !!!
This store is in a small setting with fish cutting right at the entrance. Even though it’s a restaurant, no sitting at this time and price is very high for to go food. Fuchka shells were old smelled like old oil fried. 6 fuchka for $7 tax. Owner lady with head cover was rude faced, not happy towards women customers. Seems gender biased as I was waiting to pick up my food. Rude service and high price set by owner. Closed Tuesday.
I visit this place for raw fish, chicken and goat meat. But I also tried their chicken and mutton biryanis, curries, sweet yogurt, Bengalee sweets. Curries are a bit oily. Biryanis are good in quality and price. Sweet yogurt is very good. Other sweets are okay.
Great little store for most of your needs. Apparently they changed owners recently, so the new name is Madras something, but they will still carry Bengali items. There are a lot more options for veggies now than there were before. There are also a lot of different sweets. We saw there was a frozen mishti doi, so we decided to try it. It was amazing! You have to thaw it in your fridge for a day or so, but the flavor is close to the ones I have had in India. They also carry naga chili pickle, which I have never found anywhere else. Lots of unique items and good prices.
The first owner was a 100 percent stupid and the had no common sense . The does not know how to talk with the customers. The new owner is better than the first owner.
This is my go to place for frozen whole (sweet water) fish. I also have some favorite ethnic food that I can only get here- olive chutney, chinigura/ kalojeera rice, spices of my favorite brand, chotpoti.
