I wish it could be five ⭐ ✨⭐ stars for the service, but this is my second time trying the “Pabellón” and no improvement. I’m going to try providing advice here and maybe in person before I leave. I agree with other comments for the lack of flavor and high price to pay without that extra bang. You don’t have a signature product like say “Chipotle”. Come on, let’s compete with the big guys. You need to add some spice… Think no one would touch an 🥟 empanada for example without flavor and a bit of kick to it. People these days like flavor, you have to spice up the beef and beans. The plantain and cheese speak for themselves; however the beef and beans do not. Btw something was way way too salty today, not sure if it was the black beans or beef or maybe both. That’s not the kind of flavor we’re wanting to taste. Try to experiment with condiments, but please don’t miss this. Improve your product and hope you will have a signature Azúcar Morena flavor soon!!
I’ve been here twice and loved it both times. The first time I ordered an arepa (with special toppings recommended by one of the chefs) and it was very good. The second time I ordered the cachapa (a sweet white corn pancake) with cheese and shredded beef – it was absolutely incredible. The balance of sweet with the heaviness of the meat and cheese is so good. One of my favorites if you’re looking for something just flat out good! A bit overpriced (typical for the garage) but filling and delicious.

Fantastic shrimp arepas
I love these arepas. Every time I find myself on Mass Ave and near The Garage, I stop in for a meal!
Located with the Garage food court in Indy, this Venezuelan cuisine was a great lunch option. I had the Arepas Shrimp corn breaded meal and a side of plantains. Delicious and sized just right for a midday portion. Price was slightly on the high side but worth the value. I would eat there again and recommend dining there.
