Amazing house salad, warm olives, spaghetti squash, and gluten free pizza! All items we ordered were gluten free. Cocktails were excellent too! We will be back!
The servers at All Purpose continue not to point out that gratuity is already included in an attempt to get double tipped. This is not the first time. While it does state so on the receipt (so yes I should do better about looking at every line on the receipt while the server is standing over my shoulder awkwardly), it is buried in other numbers and I feel it is completely dishonest to not point this out when you deliver the check. Having an autograt of 20% on bottles of wine is already being greedy given all they did was deliver the bottle and did not come back and pour it.
We were a large group of 16 attending a conference at the nearby convention center. We had a wonderful meal and management made it so easy to coordinate in advance. The inside is very small but we were able to make two separate tables next to each other work. Being a big group we had to use a set menu option (and they even printed out our personalized menu which was great). Our waitress was attentive, everything was tasty, and very reasonably priced. We had such a wonderful time, thank you! Definitely recommend for a large group meal and they don’t require a deposit or contract (just a credit card to reserve and an auto 20% tip added which are pretty standard).
Dined here last night with a friend for the first time. Waiter was very attentive. We ordered the spaghetti squash appetizer – layered atop pesto and small pieces of burrata. Recommend! We also split the Buona pizza – pepperoni, hot. honey, basil. Very good! Would be happy to come back though as someone who lived in NYC for 12 years, it’s hard for me to give five stars simply bc I miss NYC style pizza 🙂
Very good experience with a party of 8 including 5 active kids. Staff was attentive without being overbearing, from our call to check table availability (hostess recognized our group when we arrived, to hear service from the server, to a nice chat with the GM, Victor. Even the expediter and busser were polite and friendly.
Food was tasty and came out fast and hot. Menu is not huge on the food side but something for everyone including vegetarians. Extensive drink menu and good recommendations provided for same. Nice ambiance and casual enough for families.
Would absolutely come back.
I was headed to DC for work and heard we were going to All-Purpose. Anytime I know I’m trying a new restaurant, I get a bit nervous because I have very annoying food allergies. I messaged them on IG to see if they had a GF crust. They replied to me and said they did, and it was made in house. It was the best GF crust I’ve ever had. It was actually fluffy! And everything else was perfect. Highly recommend!

I can see why All Purpose is so popular. Cute restaurant, excellent service and good food.
We started with the Italian Hash Browns, Topped with smoked salmon. Very yummy. I love the seasonings. Double stuffed fried mozzarella, stuffed with spinach. Yum.
Pizzas were Sedgewick, whipped ricotta, mozzarella, truffle honey. I’m not a huge fan of truffle but it was faint and not too strong. The 2nd was Sunny Side, mozzarella with two sunny side up eggs, we didn’t get the corned beef which it usually comes topped with. Our server said this was the top seller and his favorite.
Parking in DC is not fun. We found a gas station across the street which charged $20 for parking. To me, worth the price for not having to drive looking for street parking.
Love this place. Great Italian pizza and food. I also like that it is not crazy expense, 2 people can eat and not break the bank.
Fantastic little spot! Their brunch menu could use more options, but fabulous bottomless mimosas and aperol spritz which you don’t see often. $23 for bottomless. They’re a pizzeria first- but not as big on brunch. The brunch options they do have is amazing!
All purpose is my favorite pizza place in DC. The hot honey and added truffle to the pizza makes it sooo good. I also highly recommend getting the Caesar. Been here multiple times and Everytime I take someone new they have nothing but good things to say
