This is such a cute place to go for pics!! i love the retro look, it’s definitely worth the experience. PLUS the food was SO good but the steak quesadilla they had was SUPER GOOD, it was AMAZING, just look at my pictures, it was HUGE, perfect for sharing !!! they were big slices. they also have some really fat and thick pancakes, perfectly crisp bacon and really good omelettes!!

The Original 5
This is my boyfriends favorite place to go to for breakfast late at night. I would even say he became a regular here for some time because he was always looking forward to it. We never dined in and always ordered to go so I can’t speak on a dine in experience. I give them a 4/5 star rating due to messing up orders a couple of times and also giving us burnt sausage in one of our orders. If it clearly looks burnt why would you serve it to a customer?
Came after work at about midnight, place looked pretty busy so it was understandable that we would have to wait for a table. The diner was well decorated and we were pretty optimistic for our meal. One of the two servers told us we could seat ourselves, but every table was still dirty or not cleaned properly. We settled for a booth that still had a piece of food on the seat.
Even though she was very kind, It took us probably about 10 minutes to even be greeted by our own server, and even longer for her to grab one soda. The couple next to us who got sat around the same time we did was able to order their drinks and entrees, eat, order takeout, and pay in the time it took for us to get our two entrees.
We were getting ready to leave around 40 minutes after we ordered our food. When the food did come out, it was very disappointing. The fries were clearly old and from two separate batches, since they were seasoned differently, and the hash browns had no seasoning at all. The food wasn’t hot and the building was very cold. I understand that you can’t expect high quality food at midnight, but something that felt like it was cooked within the last 10 minutes would be nice. I had just come off a 7 hour shift as a waitress so it was really frustrating to wait over an hour for gross, overpriced food.
The worst part was that the same song played on the jukebox the entire time we were there, I felt like I was in my own circle of hell.
We haven’t been here in years. The place is really dated. They should renovate. We had to wait for a seat. Very busy for lunch. I still enjoy the food. I miss the one in PV.
What a great find! It is the perfect picture of an old fashioned diner with the red booths and juke boxes at most tables.
We patiently waited to be seated while the only waitress was dealing with a difficult patron. She was patient and kind to him while taking his order.
We were seated at a big booth and our drink orders were promptly taken. We all ordered ice tea. She came back to us right away and told us she was brewing a fresh batch. She took our order. We were 2 couples and ordered sandwiches to split. When we received our food she had the sandwiches split into separate plates. That made it much easier for us. The sandwiches were great and. Y friend even commented that the French fries were crispy as she had ordered. We ordered a banana split and the apple crumble for dessert. The ice cream was very creamy.
A good time was had by all! We will definitely stop back when we get to Phoenix
Door says they are open … Website says they’re open … But at 6 o’clock in the morning on a Saturday, the doors are locked up tight and there’s not a person to be seen.
Food was very quick to come out and service was excellent. There were very attentive with the needs and generous on the portions. The burger I had was cooked perfect and fries were crispy and flavorful. I just wished the jukebox at the table worked because that’s my favorite part of a 50s diner. Maybe next time. There will be a next time since we had such good service.
5 stars for the service
The food is expensive for diner food and not cooked well or served fresh or hot
Feels dirty with flies landing everywhere
Great service from Kevin during a very busy Friday afternoon. Rockin and shakin still with all of the things I know they’ve been having going on. Great Fish
