The brunch menu is fantastic, very simple and wonderful staff. Nothing super special but a good staple tavern
A classic, old school, neighborhood restaurant/tavern. Located in a really great part of town, Manuel’s has an at home feeling – casual and warm. The walls are packed wi the old pictures and artwork, the ceilings are decorated with bistro lighting or wood planks at the bar, and the interior is exposed brick and wood. I had the behind burger which was really good, my daughter just had a side of mac n’ cheese and enjoyed that too. Plenty of parking is definitely a bonus, too! I like and recommend this place a lot.
The best breakfast in town! Check out the pancake selection it changes every week. How awesome is that!!!
I called to get takeout at 8:00 pm Friday 10/21/22, FOUR items and was told can’t get takeout due too much business at restaurant. I’d JUST called 5 minutes earlier to ask if there was a way to order online or just call in the order and was told just to call ln the order. But she was ready to take my order right then. I then consolidated the orders and called back to order….some people just don’t want to work I guess because they’re too “overwhelmed” by regular life at a job. I work at an ER but we don’t have that option to say stop…we just keep on keeping on…grow up Manuel’s or get new peeps to answer the phone because I’m not EVER ordering or going to Manuel’s again, which is a shame since I used to drop by after getting off a long day(s) at Grady…
We have lived in Georgia for 35 years and have talked about going to Manuel’s Tavern for 35 years! Today we decided that this was the day. Why have we waited for so long??? We loved it. So much history. So much charm. The food was good. The drinks were good. But what will bring us back? Molly! Molly our waitress was fabulous. She was attentive and recommended all the right things. The best part, she gave us a tour of the restaurant and told us stories about the memorabilia that you’d never know without the delightful Molly. We will definitely be back and will not be waiting another 35 years!
Awesome for what it is which is great bar food served by friendly staff. I’ve never ordered a dish that I didn’t enjoy and everything is reasonably priced.
I have been wanting to try this tavern for some time now. I’ve been in Atlanta close to 10 years and finally made it to Manuel’s Tavern. I do appreciate the vibe of an old school tavern with no frills on the pub grub. I came here with a group of friends and found ample seating. No hosts, so it’s a bit confusing where to sit. But if you opposite the old school pinball machines, there’s a large dining room. I wanted to try the hot dogs but opted for the chicken tendies instead. The coating on the tenders was a bit thick but the chicken was moist and flavorful with the horseradish sauce. I started dipping my crinkles in the side sauce. So tasty! They had a wide variety of beers, very impressive selection. I had an Alpha Abstraction vol. 21, which can be hard to find in the city on tap, so kudos on selection! Great spot to hang with friends post game for drinks and pub grub.
Great old school tavern vibe. I love that this place is kept original even though it’s been around for awhile. Generations of politicians have had a drink at this staple and was pleasantly satisfied.
The beer choices were plenty along with liquor and thr nachos are a must try :).
Why have a Mule on your menu when you are out of ginger beer on a Saturday night? This place is disappointing.
Food is excellent. Great ambience. It can be hard to find true, old school tavern in the world of bougie foodie joints. This place is everything a tavern should be with great drinks, great conversation, and awesome food. The employees are all friendly and engaging. Definitely an Atlanta gem!
